Mediamouse.org is a left and progressive group blog providing independent news, media, analysis, book reviews, and commentary covering Grand Rapids, Michigan and beyond. We aim to inspire grassroots activism to transform our community, our lives, and our world.
From the start (way back in 1999), we've been highly critical of the local corporate media and the role that the established media plays in reinforcing the status quo (which largely serves wealthy, white males).
What We Stand For
MediaMouse.org is a leftist blog. We see ourselves as part of the left tradition in the United States and believe that a wide variety of efforts can contribute to the struggle for social change. Our goal is to contribute to the struggle to build a new world "from the bottom and to the left."
