PROTEST JOHN MCCAIN
Monday, January 14 - 5:30pm
Corner of Leonard and TurnerRepublican Senator John McCain will speaking at the Kent County Republican Headquarters (264 Leonard St NW). McCain--who continues to claim that the occupation is succeeding and--has consistently supported the Iraq War and made a serious of macho and reckless comments regarding the occupation, most recently saying that he believes most Americans don't care if "we're there for one hundred years or a thousand years or ten thousand years."
Let's tell him that we want the US out of Iraq -- NOW!
Bring signs, banners, noisemakers, and whatever else you need."
Today, McCain spoke in Grand Rapids and promised victory in Iraq, as well as a lengthy US presence in the country. He will be making several additional stops in West Michigan over the next week, aggressively campaigning for a win in the state following his victory in New Hampshire. McCain has advocated for a more aggressive policy in Iraq during earlier appearances in West Michigan.
