Longtime Socialist, Activist Passes Away

Frank Girard, a well-known and well-liked local activist, passed away on Thursday, February 19th. During his life Girard published a longstanding libertarian socialist news bulletin, ran for numerous state offices on the Socialist Labor Party (SLP) ticket, was a founder of the Society for Economic Equality, wrote a book on the history of the SLP, and produced and distributed countless leaflets and pamphlets.
