Comcast--the largest cable company in the United States--is the target of a new citizen effort demanding better service and lower rates. A coalition of groups including Citizen Action Illinois, the Ministerial Alliance Against the Digital Divide, and Michigan Citizen Action have launched BadCable.org to demand that Comcast offer better service and lower rates. While Comcast's basic rates have skyrocketed by as much as 81% across Michigan from 2001 to 2006, the company consistently has the worst customer service ratings of any corporation in the United States.
BadCable.org is urging Michigan residents to send an online postcard to Comcast CEO Brian Roberts urging him to take action on the matter.
Comcast bites.
I'm glad someone is finally doing something about it.
