258-Mile March from DNC en Route to the RNC

|
dnc 2 rnc march

Democracy Uprising, a 258-mile march from the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Boston to the Republican National Convention (RNC) in New York City has reached Providence, RI. At present, the march has 80 participants and is expected to grow throughout the month. The march is designed to promote social justice while using the occasion of the DNC and RNC as ways of capitalizing on media attention. Along the route, marchers will organize events in local communities and work with local organizations, making an improvement on the "convergence" model of recent mass protests that have often not participated in local struggles. A daily journal from the march is available on the Mad Hatters IMC.
