Huff Elementary School Sold to Developers

|

Following a somewhat contentious community meeting last week where citizens living around Huff Elementary complained that they were left out of the Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) decision making process, the GRPS decided yesterday to sell the vacant Huff Elementary school. The school building and the ten acres of property it sits on was sold to the local developer Redstone Group. Redstone is planning to build condos on the site.

The sale was approved by the school board in an 8-0 vote with one member absent.
