CAFTA Hearing in the House this Thursday

April 26, 2005

The House Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection Subcommittee will be holding a hearing this Thursday, April 28 on CAFTA. No witnesses have been announced yet, and not surprisingly, there has been no press coverage announcing the hearing. News of the hearing comes as Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez stated that he is optimistic about the prospects of passing CAFTA stating that he believes it will pass once people "get the facts" about the agreement from the Bush administration.
