Save the Wild UP Video Contest Winner to be Announced in Grand Rapids

Save the Wild UP, one of the primary organizations opposing a proposed sulfide mine in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, will announce the winner of its "Save the Wild UP Video Challenge" on Saturday, June 16 in Grand Rapids at the Water Festival. The Water Festival will be held from 11:00am to 10:00pm at Riverside Park.

Taking advantage of the Internet and participatory media technology, the seven finalists are available on Youtube.com. The videos can be seen below, click here to vote for the video that best makes the case to protect Michigan's water from metallic sulfide mining and other threats.
