Candidate Forums to be Televised; Available in MP3 Format

Last week, Media Mouse covered a series of candidate forums held at Grand Valley State University and organized by GVSU’s Public Policy Institute (it should be noted that third party candidates were not present at many of the forums). While Media Mouse produced general summaries of the forums [the 75th Michigan House District, the 29th Michigan Senate District, United States 3rd Congressional District, and the 28th Michigan Senate District], the Grand Rapids Community Media Center (CMC) has posted audio files of the forums:

Additionally, the CMC will be broadcasting them over the weekend on LiveWire cable channel 24. The forums will be shown at the following times:

75th Michigan House District and 29th Michigan Senate District

  • Sat. 11/4 - 6:00 pm
  • Sun. 11/5 - 10:00 am
  • Mon. 11/6 - 1:00 pm

3rd United States Congressional District and 28th Michigan Senate District

  • Sat. 11/4 - 8:00 pm
  • Sun. 11/5 - Noon
  • Mon. 11/6 - 3:00 pm

Ballot Issues Forum

  • Sat. 11/4 - 10:00 pm
  • Sun. 11/5 - 2:00 pm
  • Mon. 11/6 - 5:00 pm

Last month, the Green Party of Kent County held a meet the candidates event. The event will also be televised on GRTV (Channel 25) at the following times:

  • Sun. 11/5 - 1:00am
  • Mon. 11/6 - 6:00pm
