The Grand Rapids Institute for Information Democracy (GRIID) and Media Mouse endorse the Free Press campaign to pressure Congress to support making our media system more democratic.

Media Alerts

GRIID Media Alerts are designed to provide a mechanism for the public to confront the local news media when their stories are biased, misleading, exclude important voices, fail to challenge political and economic institutions and use news stories to either entertain the public or promote commercial messages and products. The GRIID Media Alerts also provide the public a way to be informed and influence public policy when telecommunications legislation is being proposed at both the state and federal level.
