Analysis:
Yet another example of a crime story that is from far outside of the local TV media viewing area. It is hard to see how this story would be news worthy, even if it had occurred locally. According to government stats, 2,117 people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Kent county in 2004. Considering that people are arrested for DUI several times a day here in Kent county, one has to ask why the local media is reporting on a DUI arrest 1500 miles away.
