It’s good to have connections. Former Holland City councilwoman Linda Falstad never had so much public exposure as she does in the latest television ad for Dick DeVos. She’s the closer in a “man on the street” piece where people voice their disappointment with Gov. Granholm’s tenure. Falstad, a councilwoman for eight years until an unsuccessful re-election bid last year, has a son who is an intern with the DeVos campaign. “He asked me for supporters they could call,” said Falstad, who went in front of the camera with downtown Holland as the backdrop about three weeks ago. “It made me nervous, even though I’ve been in the public eye with city council.”
