Court Rejects Central Park RNC Protest on Sunday

Posted: August 26th, 2004 | Author: edcutlip |

State Supreme Court Judge Jacqueline Silberman has just ruled against United For Peace and Justice and blocked the group’s attempt to hold a massive anti-war rally in Central Park on Sunday, one day before the start of the Republican National Convention. We’ll have more on the ruling soon.

Earlier today United For Peace and Justice pledged to carry on with Sunday’s march past Madison Square Garden but no post-march rally will take place.
