New Political Zine by Young People in Grand Rapids

A new zine called “Free the Press” has appeared in Grand Rapids this month. The back page states that it is a project of an organization called “American Stew”. According to the first issue “American Stew was founded in West Michigan by a group of young adults and we are based in Grand Rapids, MI.” Topics addressed in the first issue include a look at government cuts to social programs, an essay on the environment, US policy toward Israel/Palestine, a book review of “The Prophet” by Kahil Gibran, and a list of worthwhile links and some graphics.
