<description>Uggghhhh. COME ON Agema. With all the problems our region and state are experiencing right now, is this REALLY our most pressing issue?

This is like the flag-burning legislation that comes around every few years. When pols are looking bad, they throw their base a bone and cruise to reelection.

How about you pursue stiffer penalties for businesses that crack down on employees&#039; efforts to unionize, or increase enforcement of labor law that prevent workers&#039; exploitation? Or push for higher fines for West Michigan companies who break environmental laws? Given our economic and environmental crises, those seem more relevant than pursuing this homophobia-inspired legislation.
