COME ON Agema. With all the problems our region and state are experiencing right now, is this REALLY our most pressing issue? This is like the flag-burning legislation that comes around every few years. When pols are looking bad, they throw their base a bone and cruise to reelection. How about you pursue stiffer penalties for businesses that crack down on employees' efforts to unionize, or increase enforcement of labor law that prevent workers' exploitation? Or push for higher fines for West Michigan companies who break environmental laws? Given our economic and environmental crises, those seem more relevant than pursuing this homophobia-inspired legislation. Uggghhhh. COME ON Agema.
