We already have a perfectly functionable state of the art system on this street with automatic Handicap ramps and bike carriers that runs from 5 a.m. to almost midnight.

40 plus million in federal taxes and 12 million plus in local taxes will not reinvent downtown which is deader than a doornail. Some say it will help GRCC with parking problems, but this is a no brainer as we already pay a seperate tax to support GRCC so if they need more parking they can build it.

Why isn’t the Press exposing the wealthy landowners who seek to unload their long vacant and unwanted properites that the cities will have to purchase to build this monster as they are supporting this with incredibly expensive advertising during Prime Time shows like Dancing with the Stars..to overwhelm the voice of average Joe citizen during a recession. Vote No to this wasteful, unnecessary PORK PIG on May 5th. Don’t help to sell some millionaires real estate. Our property values in Grand Rapids metro have went down as much as 50 percent but taxes continue to rise. We can’t support more stupid waste. We paid several times to repave and remodel Monroe Mall and it did not bring any people back. See the video to see where this bus would go. To vacant land noone goes to. We go to Rivertown and Woodland. You can’t use $ to change the past. Look at Rogers Plaze in Wyoming. They are dead. We can’t buy them a new bus to change this. Things change. Deal with it. Don’t waste our taxes.
