07/07/03 - Morale among Occupying Troops is Sinking

The occupation of Iraq continues as attacks against US troops intensifies. So far, over 30 soldiers have been killed since the official “end of hostilities” as well as an uncounted number of Iraqis. President Bush says that US forces will not leave Iraq and, in his ususal cowboy style of rhetoric, dares the groups perpetrating the attacks to “bring them on”. Meanwhile morale has sunk quickly among both the troops in Iraq and their families at home.
