07/28/03 - Anyone but Bush?

With fifteen months until the next presidential election, progressives are having to grapple with the usual question of voting their conscience for a candidate who can’t win, or voting for whoever the Democrats are running simply to stop the Republicans from winning. Given the absolute disaster that is the Bush administration, many are adopting an “anyone but Bush” attitude toward the election. It is worth looking at whom this “anyone” might end up being.
