Robert Fisk has a new article looking at the recent bombing in Najaf in which a prominent Shia Muslim cleric was killed wherein he explores motives for targeting the cleric. Another recent article from Z Net examines the Iraqi occupation and how increasingly the administration is stating publicly that the primary reason for the war was "liberation" or a "democratic Iraq" and not the weapons of mass destruction allegedly possessed by Iraq. Of course, as the article shows, the US occupation has little to do with liberation or democracy.
