While some of the points addressed in the two articles in today's bulletin may be rehashing information that many people already know, it's important that we be familiar with the history of US-Iraq relations. The Bush administration seeks to distort this history whenever it proves expedient, and with the current disaster, that is just about all the time. They are able to get away with it partly because the mainstream media is unwilling to confront the administration on the topic, and partly because the general public does not have an understanding of this history.
