Conventional wisdom holds that the news media in the West is free while the Arab media is subject to censorship and government control. While this may be true on a superficial level, it is worth exploring the notion that Western caters to power as much as media in less democratic societies. While not technically censored, the Western media is often self-censoring and has displayed deeply ingrained biases as strong as the biases in other foreign media.
