If you only read one thing this week I would recommend the first article for today “Dying for McDonalds in Iraq”. It’s a rather good write-up of the economic thievery that is being called the “reconstruction” of Iraq. The second article is a critique of the media and the Bush administration by noted media expert Norman Solomon. The last article is about a cover-up way back during the Johnson administration concerning an Israeli attack of a US naval vessel. Aside from being historically interesting, it is important because it illustrates that US presidents have been lying for a long time before George W. came into office, whether it be a “liberal” democrat like Johnson or a neo-con like Bush.
