Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! arrested at RNC

As the Minneapolis/St. Paul police, National Guard and sheriff departments continue their violent overreactions to those taking parts in actions at the RNC, journalist Amy Goodman, host of syndicated news program Democracy Now! and colleagues were among those placed under arrest.

Other independent media reports coming from the Twin Cities area indicate that that law enforcement equipped with riot gear, Humvees, SWAT team back-up and even police boats is viciously and illegally using pepper spray, tear gas, rubber bullets, concussion grenades and raw brutality against hundreds of protesters throughout the area and detaining hundreds more without probable cause.
